Orientation Part 2 (OPART2)

GOALS

New Student Advisors will be able to:

  • Plan your courses for Winter Quarter
  • Provide a refresher on how to enroll into your classes
  • Answer questions about majors, minors and other co-curricular programs
  • Provide information about preparing for graduate and professional school programs (e.g., medical, law)

COME PREPARED

Some tips to get the most out of your counseling appointment:

  • Prepare a list of questions to ask
  • Have a list of courses and/or majors you’re interested in pursuing

MAJOR BLAST

Major Blast [mey-jer ˈblast] noun

  1. A good time
  2. An event to explore majors, minors, and academic resources at UCLA.

AND it’s almost here! Major Blast is this Tuesday, October 29th from 6 to 8 PM in Carnesale Palisades!

Students will have the unique opportunity to speak with academic advisors, counselors, and/or faculty who can help them better understand majors, minors, specializations, coursework, prerequisites, workload, research opportunities, student organizations, and other general aspects of UCLA’s academic departments/schools.
