Welcome to UCLA!  We are excited that you have chosen to continue your education at UCLA.  With over 3,000 undergraduate international students representing 85 countries, international students are a significant part of our campus community.

All new international students will have two steps in beginning at UCLA: the iStart program   which is administered by the Dashew Center for International Students & Scholars   and attending  New Student Orientation.

New Student Orientation

Students coming directly from secondary or high school should attend a New Student Orientation for First Year students. Students who have completed 1-2 years of college coursework after secondary school should attend a New Student Orientation for Transfer students.

Please choose the appropriate session for your entry level to learn about the sessions and the dates they are offered.  At select sessions (209, 109, 110, and 111) we also offer international students optional “stay-through” housing which allows students to stay on campus after orientation until campus move in.

If you have any questions about New Student Orientation, please contact our office at (310) 206-6685, or email us through the MyUCLA Message Center (with UCLA login or without UCLA login).
