The College Summer Institute is an academic program that combines coursework, academic support services, New Student Orientation, and community-building in one experience.  If you choose to participate in CSI, you will be billed for the entire fee, which includes your courses and all academic programs (including New Student Orientation).

For many students, the cost of CSI actually represents a savings.  The program fee is based on the number of units of coursework taken.  Below you will find an itemized breakdown of costs for the College Summer Institute.

CSI is a program that is eligible for Financial Aid to qualified students. You can find out more on the Financial Aid Web site  . [Students must apply for “UCLA Summer Sessions” award period on MyUCLA  ]

See “Fee Payments and Deadlines” for payment and refund deadlines.

While there is no deposit required to sign up for CSI, if you cancel after registering, you will be assessed a $150 processing fee.
